only pleasing to look at but also smell so great that it will surely make you
fall for them. Mogra are summer friendly flowers. As winters goes and summers
come, the moment for blooming of mogra arrives. This is the correct time when
you need to gear up and do proper care of your plant so that it blooms
beautifully.
I am sharing
some key points that should be taken care to get healthy plant.
SUNLIGHT
All flowering
plants need good amount of sunlight so that there can be appropriate budding
which further leads to a healthy growing plant. Keeping Mogra in full sun will
ensure maximum flowering in your plant. Pot must be placed where they will
receive maximum of sunlight, just leave your plant in an open area.
SOIL
The next most
vital tip to be taken care of is soil. The soil must be well drain soil as it
is a summer flowering plant. Mixture of 75% normal soil and cow dung is best
for this amazing plant.
WATERING
Watering should
be done regularly on daily basis as it’s a summer plant. Keep in mind you provide water to it according
to time. The best time for this is early in the morning and before feeding it
with any fertilizer.
PRUNING
If your
plant is bushy then go for this tip, this will boost your flowering rate up to
a great extent. Removal of dead and extra branches will ensure a good growth
and flowering in your plant in future when there will be favorable climatic
conditions.
ROOT PRUNING
Also look
for root pruning as when your plant becomes old it might tend to have root
bounding (curling of roots) problem. To get rid of it you can either transfer
it to another bigger pot or chop off the bushy roots.
FERTILIZERS
Last but not
the least is fertilizing your plant. For good and maximum flowering you can’t
skip this step. Fertilizing your mogra regularly with sea weed extract (good
for growth and inculcates in it many micro nutrients), bone meal and cow dunk
compost is a good practice for achieving maximum flowering.
OTHER POINTS
For propagation
of Mogra plant, use cutting method. Cut 4 inch branch and keep it in
appropriate soil for best results.
Mogra is a
creeper tree so when it is growing try to grow it with some other plant so that
it gets proper support.
These are
some important points regarding the complete care for your fragrant flowers. Just
follow these and enjoy the company of amazing Mogra.
