Coco peat and its uses

When we talk about gardening soil, Coco peat is one of the components which is easy to use, cheap and results in being very beneficial at some situations. Coco peat is a soil media which is very light in weight. As a growing medium similar to sphagnum peat, coco peat, also called coir or coir dust, provides an alternative to potting soil featuring high water retention, suitable aeration and anti fungal benefits. Coco peat is basically a natural fiber extracted from the husk of coconut. It comes in the form of brick where it is grinded and highly compressed. For using it you have to first fill it with water so that it retains its original form. USES : · Used as an alternative in normal plants In plants it is used as a media to soften the soil.
